Sāmatvārtha 15-min Explainer

The starting argument, a fifteen-minute film, taken as an exhibit and checked line by line.

Which lines of the starting argument hold up when they are checked one by one?

Before this book there was a film: the Sāmatvārtha explainer. It opens with the line “Our civilization is running on obsolete code.” This chapter feeds the film in as the book’s second raw example, and treats it as an exhibit, not a creed.

Each line will be mapped to the voice that says it, credited at its own source, and to the chapter that checks it. Some lines the book will earn. Some it will compost. The film makes the Western argument first and the Indic one later; the book keeps both and asks what each adds.

The image it turns on: the film’s first line.

Watch the explainer before or after reading.

This chapter might instead take that first line as its title: Our Civilization Is Running on Obsolete Code.

A seed, sketched with AI from the author’s notes: the question and the direction, not yet the argument.
