India Is Not a Download

A country’s own path through the AI era, argued from its own ground rather than copied.

Seed · still being written

Updated

Can a country take its own path through the AI era, argued from its own ground, rather than downloading someone else’s?

A door in (a seed): An online form will not go through without a surname. She has one name, so she types her father’s into the box, and for ten years every letter arrives addressed to someone she isn’t.

This chapter makes the book’s argument for one country, India. It asks what an Indian path would look like if it started from the substrate rather than from a copied playbook. Its inherited strata are read as strata of decisions, not of peoples, and each will be given its strongest objection.

It follows one idea of how intelligence becomes local: build it into tools and software, not into model weights. Model, harness, meta-harness, make. And it asks what abundance is for, if people still work seventy-hour weeks.

New. Raw. Plasticity. names the stance: not copy-pasted, from first principles, rewiring inherited pathways.

A line it may earn (a seed): Before importing a blueprint, is the answer already here, under another name?

The image it turns on: a tiffin kitchen writing its own domain harness.

This chapter might instead be called Seventy Hours, or New. Raw. Plasticity.

A seed, sketched with AI from the author’s notes and the studio’s reading: the question and the direction, not yet the argument.

Leans on Regrowth, Not Degrowth and Conway Debt. Leads to Laffer Chirality, and its harnesses to SuperPositivity.
